Stillwater — Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 2026

Stillwater is a Bible reading app published by JFig Holdings LLC (“we,” “us”). We built Stillwater to be private by design: no ads, no advertising trackers, and no profile of what you read. The only personal information we ever collect is an email address — and only if you choose to give us one. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what happens to your information.

The Only Thing We Collect: Your Email (Optional)

Stillwater has an optional “get updates” prompt. If — and only if — you choose to enter your email address there, we store that address, along with which in-app screen you signed up from and the date, in a private database that we operate ourselves (Cloudflare Workers KV). We do not use a third-party email or marketing vendor.

We use your email for one purpose: to send you occasional updates about Stillwater that you asked for. We never sell, rent, trade, or share it with anyone. You can ask us to delete it at any time — just email [email protected] and we will remove it promptly. If you never enter your email, we collect nothing about you at all.

What We Do NOT Collect

No account is required to use Stillwater. We have no ads and no advertising trackers, and we never collect your name, location, contacts, or your reading activity. Where we use analytics, they are privacy-preserving, limited to how the app performs, and never tied to your identity or to what you read.

What Stays on Your Device

Your reading activity — bookmarks, highlights, notes, reading-plan progress, and display preferences — is stored locally on your device. We never receive it.

iCloud Sync (Premium)

If you subscribe to Stillwater Premium and have iCloud enabled, your bookmarks, highlights, and notes are synced across your own devices using Apple’s iCloud (your private iCloud account). This data goes directly between your devices and Apple’s iCloud — it never passes through us, and we cannot access it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Turning off iCloud for Stillwater (in iOS Settings) keeps everything local to one device.

Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. We receive only the anonymous, aggregate sales information Apple provides to every developer — never anything that identifies you.

Children

Stillwater is not directed to children and contains no ads and no communication features. The optional email prompt is the only place any personal information is collected, and it is entirely voluntary.

Changes

If we ever change this policy, we’ll update this page and the effective date above.
